Portland Woman Arrested Following Attempts to Elude Oregon and Washington Troopers
Lieutenant Gregg Hastings
Public Information Officer
(503) 731-3020 ext. 247

A northeast Portland woman is facing numerous charges in Oregon and Washington following her attempts to elude Oregon State Police (OSP) and Washington State Patrol (WSP) troopers Saturday night.
On February 19, 2011 at approximately 9:35 p.m. an OSP trooper stopped a white Chevrolet pickup displaying Oregon license plates westbound on Interstate 84 near milepost 13 for several traffic violations. The woman, later identified as CHRISTINA M. MacDONALD, age 32, was a passenger in the vehicle and was not using a safety belt.
While in contact with the driver outside of the vehicle, MacDONALD moved into the driver's seat and drove away westbound with another OSP trooper attempting to get it stopped. MacDONALD attempted to elude north on Interstate 205 into Washington where WSP troopers took over and OSP discontinued. WSP subsequently took MacDONALD into custody in the Vancouver area on multiple charges and lodged her in the Clark County Jail.
OSP cited MacDONALD to appear in Multnomah County Circuit Court for:
  • Felony Attempt to Elude in a Vehicle
  • Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle
  • Reckless Driving
  • Furnishing False Information to Police
  • Identity Theft
  • Offensive Littering
