AMBER ALERT Activation in Oregon for Yreka, California Police Department

At the request of Yreka, California Police Department, an AMBER ALERT has been activated (in Oregon) for a child taken during a burglary in Yreka. An AMBER ALERT was activated Monday morning in California. Photographs of suspect and victim will be forwarded when received from Yreka Police Department.
 
The event occurred in Yreka, California and an AMBER ALERT was issued in California at 4:37 a.m. Yreka Police Department contacted Oregon State Police to request an AMBER ALERT to be activated in Oregon with special attention to the southern Oregon region.
 
The suspect is KODY LEE KAPLON, age 22. He is described as a white, male, 5'7", 140 lbs., with brown hair and hazel eyes. KAPLON has tattoos of a iron cross on left hand, mud flap girl on right arm, and young son on left arm.  Wearing black and white flannel shirt and blue jeans.
 
The suspect may be operating a green 1992 Pontiac Grand AM with California license 3WKA651 with driver's side damage. There is no known direction of travel but due to the circumstances and proximity of Yreka to the Oregon border, an AMBER ALERT is being activated in Oregon.
 
The victim is FRANCIS ANN COLLINS, age 3, 3', 30 lbs. with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last known to be wearing a tye dye shirt.
