Oregon State Police (OSP) troopers found a little more than expected Tuesday when they arrested a Days Creek-area resident wanted on two warrants. In addition to arresting the wanted man, troopers found a small indoor marijuana grow and seized six marijuana plants and other drug paraphernalia.
On March 4, 2008 at approximately 10:10 p.m. Oregon State Police troopers responded to 390 Village Lane in Days Creek to attempt to serve a Douglas County Circuit Court arrest warrant on TROY ALLAN CRABTREE, age 42, for felony Sex Abuse in the First Degree. The arrest warrant was issued following an investigation by an OSP detective out of the Springfield Area Command office into allegations involving the sex abuse of a juvenile female related to CRABTREE.
When troopers made contact with CRABTREE at the residence, troopers took him into custody without incident on the felony warrant and an additional misdemeanor warrant for Failure to Appear on a DUII charge.
During the course of the arrest, troopers found a small indoor marijuana grow in an outbuilding near the residence. A total of six mature marijuana plants were seized as well as other drug paraphernalia and growing equipment. A small amount of methamphetamine was found in the residence at the time he was arrested.
CRABTREE was lodged at the Douglas County Jail on the following charges:
  • Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance - Marijuana
  • Unlawful Manufacture of a Controlled Substance - Marijuana
  • Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance - Methamphetamine
  • Warrant - Sex Abuse in the First Degree
  • Warrant - Failure to Appear on DUII charge
Investigation is continuing.
