A John Day-area man was arrested Sunday night on marijuana possession and distribution charges when Oregon State Police (OSP), with the assistance of Grant County Sheriff's Office and John Day Police Department, served a search warrant at his home. Over one pound of marijuana was seized and the investigation is continuing.
According to Master Sergeant Gordon Larson, on March 11, 2012 at approximately 7:50 p.m. a search warrant was served in the 700 block of East Main Street in John Day related to an OSP investigation that marijuana was being sold from the home. The investigation and search warrant started based upon information developed from an earlier traffic stop. Over one pound of processed marijuana and other evidence was seized.
BRIAN MICHAEL GENTIS, age 22, was arrested and lodged in the Grant County Jail for Unlawful Possession and Distribution of Marijuana. A 23-year old male at the residence was not arrested.
