A wanted man considered dangerous was the focus of police activity at the Ontario Inn located at 1144 SW 4th Avenue in Ontario, Oregon after a vehicle associated with the man was found at the hotel's parking. Ontario Police Department has asked the man's information and photograph be provided to area media to help the public provide tips if he is spotted away from the hotel.

BILLY JOE EVANS, age 56, is currently wanted out of Wyoming (Parole Violation) and Ohio (Fraud). He is described as a white male, 5'9", 170 - 190 pounds, with grey hair and blue eyes.

On the morning of March 14, 2008, Ontario Police Department was called to the hotel regarding a suspicious man. A check on a vehicle at the hotel determined it was stolen out of North Dakota and a man was wanted as listed above.

Ontario police, with the help of county and state police officers, cordoned off a 3 block area around the hotel as officers dealt with the situation to determine if the man was there. Ontario police advised there may be a possibility the man left before officers arrived and may still be somewhere in the general area.

If anyone spots EVANS they are advised to not approach him and immediately notify 9-1-1.  Questions should be directed to Ontario Police Department.
