OSP Traffic Stop Near Bend Leads to Seizure of 10 lbs of Marijuana, Charges for 3 Idaho Residents

Three Idaho residents are facing marijuana-related charges following the seizure of approximately 10 pounds of marijuana last week during an Oregon State Police (OSP) traffic stop near Bend, Oregon. The OSP Drug Enforcement Section is continuing the investigation.
 
On March 7, 2012 at approximately 3:40 p.m. an OSP sergeant stopped a 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee displaying Idaho license plates northbound on Highway 97 near milepost 145 for a hazardous traffic violation. The vehicle contained three occupants identified as driver SHAWN LEE MILLER, age 41, from Coeur D Alene, Idaho; passenger MARCUS GEORGE HEIDENREICH, age 30, from Coeur D Alene, Idaho; and, passenger SHANISY LOREE MILLER, age 34, from Athol, Idaho.
 
Subsequent investigation led to the discovery of two pounds of marijuana in HEIDENREICH's suitcase and another 8 pounds of marijuana in a box. Estimated value of the seized marijuana is $25,000.
 
HEIDENREICH was arrested and lodged in the Deschutes County Jail for Unlawful Possession and Distribution of a Controlled Substance --- Marijuana.
 
SHAWN MILLER was cited to appear in Deschutes County Circuit Court for Unlawful Possession and Distribution of a Controlled Substance --- Marijuana. SHANISY MILLER was cited to appear for Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance --- Marijuana.
