An 18-year old Salem resident was apprehended Wednesday evening following an unlawful entry into the Oregon State Capitol building in Salem.
On March 16, at 7:06 p.m. Oregon State Police (OSP) troopers received a call regarding a break in at the Capitol building. According to Senior Trooper Peter Arnatov, a man broke through an exterior glass door then entered the building on the Willson Park side. An Associated Press reporter who was in the building reported that the man was sitting in a nearby hallway. By the time troopers arrived, the man had disappeared to an unknown area.
Additional Salem area troopers and officers from the Salem Police Department responded to assist in locating the intruder. Shortly thereafter, a trooper located the male running towards the Senate Wing. The man was detained and the investigation is continuing.
Troopers have identified the male as ELLIS C. DISHION, age 18, of Northeast Salem. DISHION was not injured during the break in or the arrest.  DISHION is being charged with Criminal Mischief in the Second Degree and Criminal Trespass in the Second Degree.
