Cancellation of Washington State AMBER Alert; Children Recovered Safe, Suspect in Custody in Salem

The following is a news release from Joint Base Lewis-McChord Public Affairs Office:
 
Regarding the Amber Alert issued this morning in Washington State that Alan Ray Fish, age 35, abducted Dylan Fish and Rueben Fish from their home at Joint Base Lewis-McChord – both children have been safely turned over to law enforcement personnel in Salem, Oregon.
 
The suspect was arrested by the Salem Police Department and is in police custody.
 
The children will be returned to their mother at Joint Base Lewis-McChord later today.
 
Joint Base Lewis-McChord CID and the FBI continue to investigate this incident.
 
Joint Base Lewis-McChord thanks all the Washington and Oregon law enforcement agencies who played a role in the safe return of these children. Likewise, we thank all the people who called and expressed concern for the children's well being and safety.
