Update: Escaped California Inmate Captured

California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation confirmed the capture of a minimum security inmate who escaped Sunday evening from Delta Conservation Camp located outside of Suisun City, California northwest of the Bay Area. The escaped inmate has known associates in Washington County, Oregon and information was released to Oregon media March 14.
Prison inmate NATHAN SIMPSON, age 30, a minimum security inmate who escaped March 13, 2011 was apprehended in Rio Vista, California on Thursday, March 17, by special agents from the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation.
SIMPSON was captured at approximately 10:00 p.m. He was medically cleared and transported to California State Prison - Solano in Vacaville, California, and remanded to the Administrative Segregation Unit, pending return to California Correctional Center.
According to CCC, 99.1 percent of all offenders who have escaped since 1977 from an adult institution, camp or community-based program have been apprehended.
