OSP Baker City Office Moves to New Location
03/24/2008

OSP Baker City Office
The Oregon State Police (OSP) moved from its Baker City home of nearly 50 years and has settled into its next location at 39155 Pocahontas Road. Since the late 1950s, the OSP Baker City office had been located at 1050 S. Bridge Street, a facility owned by Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT).

The new 4,700 square-foot building was previously occupied by the state Department of Human Services Child Welfare agency and had been vacant for about six years. The building is now the new home for OSP Baker City patrol, criminal, and fish & wildlife operations, and most East Region Headquarters supervisory personnel.

According to OSP Lieutenant Dave MacManiman, the move was necessary because ODOT is planning on closing the S. Bridge Street building in the next two years where OSP was leasing office space.
