Yamhill County Interagency Drug Team Serves Search Warrant on Sophisticated Marijuana Grow Operation
On March 31, 2010 at 6:05 a.m. the Yamhill County Interagency Narcotics Team (YCINT) concluded a 3 month long investigation by executing a search warrant at 9320 SW Gopher Valley Road in Sheridan. The initial entry was completed by Oregon State Police SWAT due to the potential hazards of the location and suspects.
During a search of the residence, barn and numerous outbuildings, officers located 715 mature marijuana plants, 208 starter marijuana plants, multiple ballasts and lights, hydroponic starter equipment, and additional marijuana growing equipment as well as security / surveillance equipment focused on the access points to the grow operation.  According to several senior narcotics investigators, this operation was one of the most sophisticated marijuana growing operations located in Yamhill County in recent years.
The search also located 19 firearms (many of them loaded or with loaded magazines next to the weapons), Approx 6 1/2 pounds of dried marijuana, ½ ounce of Heroin, a quantity of methamphetamine, scales, packaging material and drug paraphernalia.
According to Yamhill County Sheriff Jack Crabtree the grow operation appeared to be part of a broad based criminal enterprise. “The fact that heroin, methamphetamine, firearms and several pounds of dried or drying marijuana were all found with the growing plants clearly demonstrates the danger this operation represented.”
Gina L. Tombleson, age 39, and Michael A. Shisler, age 44, both residents of the Gopher Valley address, were arrested and lodged in YCCF pending arraignment for the following charges:
  • Unlawful Manufacturing of Marijuana (SRA $20,000)
  • Unlawful Distribution of Marijuana (SRA $10,000)
  • Unlawful Possession of Marijuana (SRA $10,000)
  • Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine (SRA $5,000)
  • Unlawful Possession of Heroin (SRA $10,000)
