OSP Detectives Arrest Henley High School ROTC Instructor on Sex Abuse, Official Misconduct Charges

Following a two week investigation, Oregon State Police (OSP) detectives arrested a Henley High School junior ROTC instructor and marksmanship coach on charges related to the sex abuse of a juvenile female student.
On April 3, 2012, OSP detectives arrested KENNETH GARDNER, age 63, for Sex Abuse in the Second Degree and Official Misconduct in the First Degree. The alleged crimes occurred during the current school year. GARDNER has been involved with the school's ROTC program since 1993. According to Klamath County School District, GARDNER resigned from the teaching position.
No other details regarding this investigation are released at this time. There is no information to indicate there have been other possible victims, but anyone with information regarding GARDNER and the alleged crimes is asked to contact Detective Stephanie Gourley at (541) 883-5713 ext. 239.
