Oregon State Police (OSP) troopers investigating the March 22, 2011 hit-and-run collision on Highway 211 west of Molalla located and seized the involved vehicle Sunday evening. The driver has been identified but has not been located.
On April 3, 2011 OSP troopers were following up on one of many tips related to the fatal hit-and-run investigation involving the death of THOMAS CHRISTOPHER MOSSMAN, age 67, from Molalla. MOSSMAN was struck by a vehicle as he rode his bicycle westbound on Highway 211 just west of S. Palmer Road near milepost 10. He was transported by LifeFlight to Oregon Health and Sciences University where he was treated until he died March 31.
The suspect vehicle, a gray 1995 Dodge Grand Caravan, was found at a residence in rural Clackamas County following an anonymous tip reported to OSP. It was subsequently seized and impounded at the OSP Portland Area Command office while the investigation continues.
At this time, no additional information regarding the vehicle or the identity of the driver will be released. A photograph of the vehicle will not be released at this time.
OSP appreciates the help of those who provided tips during the ongoing investigation that has now led to locating the involved vehicle and identifying the alleged driver.
