Lane County Interagency Narcotics Team Arrests Eugene Woman With Potpourri of Illegal Drugs

A Eugene woman was arrested Thursday when Lane County Interagency Narcotics Team (INET) members served a search warrant and seized multiple illegal narcotics, firearms and other evidence.
On April 12, 2012, INET detectives, assisted by United States Postal Service inspectors, served a search warrant in the 87000 block of Gypsy Lane in Eugene related to an investigation of a suspicious postal package. Subsequent to the investigation and search warrant service, detectives arrested HEATHER C. HIGGINS, age 40, and lodged her in the Lane County Jail for Unlawful Possession, Distribution, and Delivery of a Controlled Substance. Additional charges are pending.
According to OSP Sergeant Erik Fisher, task force officers seized evidence including:
  • Nearly 3 pounds of powdered MDMA (Ecstasy) and two dozen pills
  • Approximately 2 pounds of psilocybin mushrooms
  • One (1) pound of hashish
  • More than 4 pounds of marijuana
  • Two (2) ounces of cocaine
  • 38 marijuana plants
  • A shotgun and handgun
INET is comprised of personnel from the Oregon State Police, Lane County Sheriff's Office, Eugene Police Department, Springfield Police Department and Lane County District Attorney's Office.
