A Gladstone-area man was cited by Oregon State Police (OSP) for criminal mischief following an investigation into a report of a vehicle tearing up landscaping last week in Milo McIver State Park near Estacada.

On April 24, 2012 at approximately 5:50 p.m. a vehicle reportedly spun circles in two separate grassy areas near the south entrance to Milo McIver State Park. A witness obtained a vehicle license plate number and description then reported it to a State Parks employee.

OSP Senior Trooper Bob Fosburgh investigated the incident and identified the vehicle, a blue 2002 Dodge Dakota pickup. On April 27, Fosburgh contacted the pickup's owner, KENNETH LEROY BURKE, age 33, from Gladstone, and subsequently cited BURKE to appear in Clackamas County Circuit Court for Criminal Mischief in the First Degree, a Class C felony.

Preliminary estimate to repair the damage is approximately $2,000.
