Fatal Traffic Crash - Highway 37 north of Pendleton

Oregon State Police (OSP) troopers are continuing the investigation of a single vehicle fatal traffic crash that occurred early Saturday morning on Highway 37 about four miles north of Pendleton.
According to Recruit Trooper Joseph Dezso, on May 19, 2012 at 2:38 a.m., 2011 Subaru Forester driven by JASON SCOTT BRONCHEAU, age 40, from Pendleton, was northbound on Highway 37 at milepost 25 it drifted to the gravel shoulder. The driver apparently overcorrected, travelled back onto the highway and across the southbound lane where it struck an embankment and rolled before coming to rest in a wheat field.
BRONCHEAU was pronounced deceased at the scene by personnel from the Pendleton Fire Department. He was not using his seat belt at the time of the crash.
