Media Advisory - "Heavy Truck Crash Reconstruction" Training
Oregon State Police and Idaho State Police are hosting a five-day "Heavy Truck Crash Reconstruction" training for police investigators and motor carrier inspectors this week in Ontario. Officers from Oregon State Police, Idaho State Police, Washington State Patrol, Salem Police Department, and Washington County Sheriff's Office and inspectors from Oregon Department of Transportation are scheduled to attend the training.
Media representatives are invited to attend a truck tip-over test and meet with instructors about how this training is used to investigate complex commercial vehicle crashes.
When:      Wednesday, June 18, 2008
                 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Where:     Idaho State Police Academy
                 Meridian, Idaho
Who: Instructors from Oregon State Police and Idaho State Police (ISP) will hold a safety briefing for media representatives and class attendees promptly at 11:00 a.m. followed by about one hour of controlled testing at the ISP Academy.
