The following news release is sent out at the request of the Josephine County Public Health Department and Josephine County Sheriff's Office asking for the public's help in locating a Grants Pass-area couple and their two year old son who has a potential serious medical condition. The couple may not be aware of this condition after they took their son to a local hospital about 48 hours ago. The child's father was last seen on foot in the Grants Pass area about 5:00 p.m. Friday afternoon and it is not known if they have access to any vehicles.
The Josephine County Sheriff's Office and Josephine County Public Health Department is trying to find KENNETH LYON SR., age 33, VANESSA PARCHEN, age 24, and their two-year old son KENNETH LYON JR. For privacy reasons, police and health officials are not able to name the medical condition for which it is believed the juvenile boy was recently diagnosed with.
Both parents are Caucasian. KENNETH LYON SR. is 5'7" tall, weighs approximately 155 pounds and has balding brown hair. VANESSA PARCHEN is 5'4" tall, weighs approximately 120 pounds, and has dark colored hair. Their child weighs about 18 pounds and has sandy colored hair.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Josephine County Sheriff's Office or the 9-1-1 business line at (541) 474-5123 ext. 5.
Questions can be directed to Josephine County Sheriff Gil Gilbertson at (541) 218-7967 or Belle Shephard, Josephine County Public Health Department, at (541) 474-5109.
