Following a review into an investigation by the interagency Clackamas County Major Crimes Team of an Oregon State Police trooper-involved shooting, the Clackamas County District Attorney's Office announced Trooper Justin Lane's use of deadly force against Scott Lee Campbell was appropriate and in self defense. The District Attorney's Office reviewed the completed investigation and declined to present the matter before a Grand Jury.

The investigation focused on evidence and interviews with witnesses, Trooper Lane and Scott Lee Campbell, surrounding the non-fatal officer-involved shooting on May 30, 2010 at approximately 5:45 p.m. in Clackamas County.

Questions regarding this investigation should be directed to Greg Horner, Chief Deputy District Attorney.
