After exhausting all available leads to notify next of kin, Oregon State Police (OSP) is releasing the name and photograph of a pedestrian killed May 29 when he was struck by a commercial truck in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 84 about two miles east of Baker City. OSP is asking for the public's help, in particular in the St. Paul, Minnesota and Glendive, Montana areas, to locate the man's next of kin.
On May 29, 2010 at approximately 10:43 p.m. DAVID SCVOIL PINOTTI, age 49 (date of birth: May 21, 1961), was walking in the right eastbound lane of Interstate 84 near milepost 307 when he was struck by a commercial motor vehicle. The truck's driver was unable to avoid hitting PINOTTI, who was pronounced deceased at the scene.
During the last three weeks, OSP troopers have been trying to find next of kin and think relatives may live in the St. Paul, Minnesota or Glendive, Montana areas. PINOTTI, who is believed to have no permanent address at the time of his death, is described as a white male, 5'10", 170 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. PINOTTI's photograph is provided with this release to help locate his next of kin.
Anyone with information regarding PINOTTI's next of kin is asked to call Lieutenant Dave MacManiman, OSP Baker City work site, at (541) 523-5867 ext. 4610.
