Oregon State Police (OSP) is asking for the public's help to identify two people who fled on foot from an OSP trooper during a contact Thursday morning in Rainier. A loaded handgun was found inside the vehicle they were occupying and left behind at the scene.

On July 7, 2011 at approximately 9:47 a.m. an OSP trooper observed a possible verbal disturbance in the Shell gas station parking at Rockcrest Street and Highway 30 involving a male and female in a light blue 1987 Toyota Camry four-door displaying Washington license plates. After the trooper pulled into the parking lot to contact the two people, they both subsequently fled on foot in opposite directions leaving the car behind. The male driver also left behind some clothing and a baseball hat, and a loaded handgun was found inside the car.

OSP is asking for the public's help to identify the two suspects.

The driver is described as a white male, late teens to early 20s, 5'5" - 5'7" tall, weighing 125 - 140 lbs, short brown hair, and a birthmark or scar on the right ear lobe with unknown tattooed letters above the mark. He was last seen wearing a white tank top, dark colored baggy jean shorts, and possibly goes by the name "Lil Scottie".

The passenger is described as a white female, late teens to early 20s, 5'6" - 5'8" tall, weighing 110 - 130 lbs, with long brown hair with blonde highlights. She was last seen wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt, dark blue jeans, and possibly goes by the name "Summer".

Anyone with information to help identify these two suspects is asked to call Senior Trooper Robin May at (503) 397-0325 ext. 103.
