Troopers Arrest Man Following Discovery of 5 lbs. of Cocaine in Van - Interstate 5 south of Medford

A Mexico resident was arrested Thursday morning during a traffic stop on Interstate 5 south of Medford when Oregon State Police (OSP) troopers found approximately 5 pounds of Cocaine.
On July 10, 2008 at approximately 8:30 a.m. OSP troopers from the Central Point Area Command office stopped a California registered 2007 Ford van for a traffic violation northbound Interstate 5 near milepost 10. Further investigation during the stop revealed passenger JOSE AISPRO, age 23, from Mexico, was in possession of approximately 5 pounds of Cocaine worth an estimated value of $50,000.
AISPRO was arrested for Unlawful Manufacturing, Possession, and Distribution of a Controlled Substance – Cocaine.
No further information is being released regarding this investigation at this time.
