INET Drug Investigation Leads to 5 Arrests, Marijuana Grow, and Meth in Springfield

Members of the Interagency Narcotics Enforcement Team (INET) served a search warrant Friday at a Springfield residence where they arrested five people on numerous drug and child welfare charges. Two children were also removed from the residence and placed into protective custody.
 
When INET detectives served the search warrant at 443 Woodlane Drive in Springfield they located an illegal marijuana growing operation, methamphetamine, psilocybin mushrooms, illegally possessed prescription medication, surveillance equipment, a police scanner, and a semi-automatic pistol.
 
Two small children, one an infant, who lived at the residence, were taken into protective custody by the Department of Health and Human Services. Drug paraphernalia was located throughout the house, including in the children's bedroom.
 
The following five people were arrested on the listed crimes:
  • Christina C. Garvin, age 20
* Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine
* Unlawful Delivery of Methamphetamine
* Unlawful Delivery of Marijuana
* Child Neglect in the First Degree (2 counts)
* Endangering the Welfare of a Minor (2 counts)

  • Charles A. Garvin, age 59
* Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine
* Unlawful Delivery of Methamphetamine
* Unlawful Possession of Marijuana
* Unlawful Manufacture of Marijuana
* Child Neglect in the First Degree (2 counts)
* Endangering the Welfare of a Minor (2 counts)
  • Anne S. Smith, age 57
* Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine
* Unlawful Delivery of Methamphetamine
* Child Neglect in the First Degree (2 counts)
* Endangering the Welfare of a Minor (2 counts)
  • Bonnie G. Gibson, age 52
* Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine
  • Jeffrey S. Leopard, age 51
* Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine
