Oregon State Police (OSP) charged a California man Tuesday night in Cottage Grove near Interstate 5 with numerous drug-related offenses after he was found in possession of Hashish, Marijuana, and other items associated with drug distribution.
On July 15, 2008 at approximately 8:20 p.m. an OSP trooper stopped a Toyota Camry displaying California license plates in Cottage Grove near Interstate 5 for a vehicle license violation. Upon contacting the driver, KENNETH RAY DONAGHY, age 30, from Ukiah, California, the trooper determined he was in possession of a small baggie of marijuana.
Subsequent investigation during the stop with the assistance of an OSP drug detection canine led to the discovery in the car's trunk of a red duffel bag containing approximately 15 ounces of Hashish, including 192 plastic cubes with one gram each, about 7 ounces of Marijuana, scales and additional packaging evidence.
DONAGHY was charged with Unlawful Possession, Manufacturing, and Distribution of a Controlled Substance.
