Oregon State Police detectives are continuing to assist Long Beach, Washington police with the investigation of a missing Albany man last seen July 5th at the Port of Ilwaco on the south Washington coast. Investigators continue to ask for the public's help for information to find the man.
On Thursday evening, July 16th, a search was conducted in the water at the Port of Ilwaco in coordination with the US Coast Guard and a dive team from Clatsop County Sheriff's Office. The search was focused in the area where the 48-foot fishing vessel "Tiger" was docked when it arrived on July 5th. During the approximate 3 hour search there was no sign of the missing man, JOHN CURTIS ADKINS, age 53, in the water.

On the Fourth of July weekend ADKINS left with two men on the fishing vessel from Garibaldi, Oregon to Ilwaco, Washington for some boat repair work. ADKINS has not been heard from since he was last sighted July 5th at the Port of Ilwaco. A family member contacted Long Beach, Washington police to report him missing on July 7th.

The fishing vessel is not missing and has returned back to the Garibaldi area.

Anyone with information to help find ADKINS is asked to call Oregon State Police Northern Command Center dispatch at 1-800-452-7888.
