OSP Detectives Arrest Klamath Falls on Sex Abuse Allegations

An investigation last week by Oregon State Police (OSP) Criminal Investigations Division detectives led to the arrest of a Klamath Falls man Friday on allegations that he sexually abused a special needs teenage juvenile female.

According to OSP Detective Tom Kipp, on July 20, 2011, OSP detectives from the Bend Area Command office started the investigation after receiving information that a juvenile teenage female was sexually abused during a visit with relatives in the Klamath Falls area. The victim disclosed two incidents which were forwarded to OSP detectives in Klamath Falls and the Klamath Branch of the Department of Human Services Child Welfare Division for further investigation.

Follow up investigation led OSP detectives to the arrest JOHNNY CARLOS YOUNG, age 30, on July 22nd. YOUNG is not a relative of the victim. He was lodged in the Klamath County Jail for:
  • Rape in the Third Degree
  • Sex Abuse in the Third Degree (3 counts)
  • Sodomy in the Third Degree
  • Contributing to the Sexual Delinquency of Minor
