Oregon State Police have confirmed a 47-year old Oregon City man critically injured Tuesday afternoon after crashing on his motorcycle south of Canby on Highway 99E near S. Tull Avenue passed away Thursday afternoon.
On July 29, 2008 at approximately 3:00 p.m. a 2001 Harley Davidson motorcycle operated by JEFFREY W. ROBERTSON, age 47, from Oregon City, was northbound on Highway 99E just south of Canby in the left lane passing another vehicle. According to the lone witness who remained at the scene, the motorcycle moved back toward the right northbound lane and continued onto the shoulder where it struck a fog marker. ROBERTSON lost control and was ejected from his motorcycle, seriously injuring him.
Canby Fire Department personnel responded for initial treatment of ROBERTSON before he was transported by LifeFlight to Oregon Health Sciences University. He was in critical condition until he died Thursday afternoon.
Oregon State Police Trooper Pat Huskey from the Portland Area Command is completing the investigation. Canby Fire Department, Canby Police Department and ODOT assisted at the scene.
