Harney County Woman Arrested in Stabbing Incident

Oregon State Police (OSP) troopers arrested a rural Harney County resident on assault and weapon charges following an early Monday morning stabbing.
According to OSP Senior Trooper Tim Thomas, on August 3, 2009 at approximately 2:37 a.m. RONALD G. TOTLAND, age 60, from Princeton, Oregon arrived by private vehicle at Harney District Hospital in Burns with a stab wound to his left forearm. Two OSP troopers responded to the hospital to initiate an investigation.
Subsequent investigation led to the arrest of KATHLEEN R. HALL, age 50, for Assault in the Second Degree and Unlawful Use of a Weapon. HALL, who resides with TOTLAND, allegedly stabbed TOTLAND during an argument.
HALL was lodged in the Harney County Jail pending an appearance in Harney County Circuit Court.
