An Oregon State Hospital employee at the Portland campus was arrested Friday afternoon by Oregon State Police (OSP) on allegations of official misconduct and sodomy involving a female state hospital patient.
On August 8, 2008, OSP detectives responded to the Oregon State Hospital Portland campus located at 1121 NE 2nd Avenue after being contacted by hospital staff that a male employee was witnessed being involved in unlawful sexual activity with a 47-year old female patient.
Following an initial investigation, detectives arrested FRANCISCO NUNEZ, age 56, from Milwaukie, on 4 counts of Official Misconduct in the First Degree and 4 counts of Sodomy in the First Degree. NUNEZ reportedly has worked there for 5 years as a housekeeper / custodian. Detectives advise NUNEZ was involved in similar alleged crimes with the female victim over an approximate one year period and the acts were not forced by him.

NUNEZ was lodged in the Multnomah County Jail with bail initially listed at $1.1 million pending a court appearance. No mugshot is available at this time on the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office website.
