July Busy Month for Lincoln County Drug Team

The month of July was a busy one for members of the Lincoln Interagency Narcotic Team (LINT) conducting drug investigations in the city of Newport.
 
On Wednesday, July 8, 2009, the LINT team along with the Newport Police and Oregon State Police served a search warrant at 142 SW High Street # 5 in Newport where they contacted TIMOTHY DALE SCHOEGJE, age 52. During the search of the residence, LINT detectives located over 2 ounces of heroin along with other items related to the sale and possession of controlled substances. SCHOGJE was arrested and lodged in the Lincoln County jail for UNLAWFUL DELIVERY AND POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE - Heroin.
 
On Friday, July 10, 2009, at 7:00 a.m. RAFAEL MORALES PEREZ, age 25, from Portland, was taken into custody by LINT detectives and officers from the Newport Police Department after he attempted to deliver heroin to an address in Newport. During the arrest detectives seized an ounce of heroin from him. He was arrested and lodged in the Lincoln County Jail for UNLAWFUL POSSESSION AND DELIVERY OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE - Heroin.
 
That same day the LINT team along with officers from the Newport Police Department and the Oregon State Police served a search warrant at 5735 NW Biggs Street in Newport where they contacted THOMAS P MYHREN, age 46, and JOSHUA R GORRINGE, age 22. Evidence related to the possession and delivery of marijuana and possession of methamphetamine were found along with over one pound of marijuana and a small amount of methamphetamine.
 
MYREN was arrested and lodged in the Lincoln County Jail for UNLAWFUL POSSESSION and DELIVERY OF MARIJUANA and UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF METHAMPHETAMINE.
 
GORRINGE was arrested and lodged in the Lincoln County Jail for UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA and FREQUENTING A PLACE WHERE CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES ARE KEPT.
 
Investigations are continuing by LINT detectives. LINT is comprised of Newport Police Department, Lincoln County Sheriff's Office, Lincoln City Police Department, Oregon State Police, and the Lincoln County District Attorney's Office.
