Oregon State Police (OSP) Fish & Wildlife Division troopers from the Springfield Patrol Office are asking for the public's help to identify the person(s) responsible for the unlawful possession/take of a buck deer butchered and dumped in Lane County. A reward is being offered by the Oregon Hunters Association Turn in Poacher (TIP) reward program for information leading to an arrest in this case.
Preliminary investigation by OSP Trooper Marc Boyd indicates the crime happened on or about August 10, 2009. Parts of the deer were dumped on the shoulder of Ferguson Road west of Junction City.
Anyone with information is asked to call the TIP (Turn in Poacher) line at 1-800-452-7888 or Trooper Boyd directly at 541-505-1063.
