Oregon State Police (OSP) is asking for the public's help related to an investigation into a burglary at the Coburg Police Department last week.
On August 15, 2008 at approximately 6:00 a.m. a city employee discovered sometime between late Thursday night, August 14th, and that morning someone had burglarized the Coburg Police Department office which is located in a building shared with other city departments including city hall and municipal court. The police department appears to be the only area entered by the suspect(s).
The initial investigation determined several items of value were missing including four Motorola handheld police radios (with batteries and collar microphones) and an estimated 75 gold platted US presidential coins.
OSP detectives are investigating the case and not releasing any other details.
Anyone with information to help in this investigation is asked to call OSP Northern Command Center dispatch at 800-452-7888.
