Former OLCC Retailer Pleas No Contest to Aggravated Theft Charges

A Dallas, Oregon man entered no contest pleas Thursday in Polk County Circuit Court related to a one year Oregon State Police (OSP) investigation, with the assistance of OLCC and Secretary of State Audits Division, after an audit discovered approximately $180,000.00 of sales profits missing from his Dallas-area OLCC liquor store.
 
On August 21, 2008, MICHAEL GENE MOLLGAARD, age 58, from Dallas, entered no contest pleas to two counts of Aggravated Theft in the First Degree. He was arrested by OSP Detective Gregg Withers in December 2007 following an indictment by the Polk County Grand Jury. The two counts reflect activity ranging between February 1, 2006 and October 31, 2006.
 
Sentencing is set for October 1, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. before Judge Charles Luukinen.
 
Aggravated Theft in the First Degree is a B Felony with a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
