An autopsy conducted by Larry V. Lewman of the Oregon State Medical Examiner's Office was completed Wednesday morning, August 27, 2008, on the body of Kevin Duckworth, age 44, at the Oregon State Medical Examiner's Office in Clackamas, Oregon.
As a result of the autopsy, Dr. Lewman determined Mr. Duckworth's cause of death was attributed to hypertrophic cardiomyopathy with congestive heart failure. Cardiomyopathy is a primary disease of heart muscle that along with Mr. Duckworth's hypertension (high blood pressure) resulted in marked enlargement of his heart which had been failing for some time.
