OSP Seeking Public's Help for Investigation of Illegal Kill of Spike Elk near Otis

Oregon State Police (OSP) Fish & Wildlife Division troopers are asking for the public's help to identify the suspect(s) responsible for the illegal killing of a spike elk in the Trout Creek area near Otis. A reward of up to $500 is offered by the Oregon Hunters Association Turn-in-Poacher (T.I.P.) reward program for information leading to an arrest in this case.
 
OSP Senior Trooper Ryan Kehr discovered a dead spike elk illegally killed about two weeks prior to the opening of archery season in the Trout Creek area, a gated private industrial timberland closed to motor vehicle traffic. The elk was shot and left to waste.
