An armed and dangerous wanted fugitive from Idaho who was shot September 18th by an Oregon State Police (OSP) trooper in Oakridge was arrested last Thursday upon release from a Springfield area hospital. OSP troopers arrested JAMES PATRICK POWERS, age 47, on the following charges listed in a Deschutes County Circuit Court warrant issued following a grand jury indictment:

Robbery in the First Degree

Kidnapping in the Second Degree

Felon in Possession of a Firearm

Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle

Unlawful Use of a Weapon
