Oregon State Police (OSP) troopers are continuing the investigation into an early Sunday morning motorcycle crash on Highway 11 about thirteen miles north of Pendleton that turned fatal after the victim was transported to an area hospital. OSP is asking any witnesses or persons with information regarding this crash to contact Trooper Trampas McCrae at (541) 278-4090 ext. 4818.

According to Sergeant Sterling Hall, on October 2, 2011 at approximately 12:14 a.m. Trooper McCrae drove upon the scene of an unreported motorcycle crash on Highway 11 near milepost 13. West Umatilla and Pendleton emergency medical service personnel responded and PEAK was transported by air ambulance to St. Mary Medical Center in Walla Walla, Washington.

OSP was notified later that date that PEAK died about 5:30 a.m. from injuries sustained in the crash.
