Five people were arrested last Friday at three separate Lincoln County area locations related to investigations by the Lincoln Interagency Narcotics Team (LINT).
On September 30, 2011, LINT detectives, with assistance from Lincoln City Police Department, Oregon State Police (OSP) and the OSP SWAT team, served 3 narcotics-related search warrants in the Lincoln City area. At approximately 5:00 a.m. two warrants were served simultaneously by the OSP SWAT team at 3560 SE Fleet Avenue in Lincoln City and 6310 N. Highway 101 space #3 in Otis. After initial entry and securing of both locations, investigators seized methamphetamine and other evidence.
At the SE Fleet Avenue location, investigators arrested ERIC PAUL JONES, age 30, from Lincoln City, on a State Parole Violation warrant. JONES was lodged in the Lincoln County Jail on the arrest warrant and additional charges are pending.
At the Otis-area location, investigators arrested AMANDA DAWN PLUMMER, age 29, from Lincoln City. PLUMMER was lodged at the Lincoln County Jail for Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance - Methamphetamine.
LINT detectives learned the main focus of their investigation, SAMUEL TRAVIS BLAIR CLARK, age 39, from Lincoln City, was at a Lincoln City residence. Investigators attempted to contact CLARK, who was wanted on a State Parole Board warrant, at 3415 NE Yacht Avenue but were met by uncooperative individuals attempting to conceal the fact that CLARK was inside.
OSP SWAT members responded to the residence and found CLARK hiding in the attic refusing to surrender. Chemical munitions were deployed forcing CLARK out of hiding and he was taken into custody. CLARK was lodged in the Lincoln County Jail on the arrest warrant. Additional charges are pending.
Also arrested at the Yacht Avenue location after attempting to conceal CLARK to avoid capture were KAYLA DANAY POTTER, age 23, and ALFRED VINCENT VARELA II, age 37, both from Lincoln City.
LINT is comprised of members of the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office, Lincoln City Police Department, Oregon State Police, and Lincoln County District Attorney's Office.
