The investigation into the murder of Cody Myers, age 19, from Lafayette, is continuing. Detectives from Oregon and Washington are in California contacting DAVID JOSEPH PEDERSON, age 31, and HOLLY ANN GRIGSBY, age 24, who were arrested October 5, 2011. They are suspects in an Everett, Washington murder investigation and are now confirmed suspects in the death of Cody Myers. Both are currently lodged in the Yuba County, California Jail.
According to Dr. Larry Lewman from the Oregon State Medical Examiner's Office, the autopsy done on Cody Myers found the cause of death was "by gunshot wounds of the head and chest." Myers was shot more than once but investigators are not releasing the number or exact locations of the wounds. Dr. Lewman determined the manner of death to be homicide.
Investigators in Oregon are still looking for the black 2010 Jeep Patriot displaying Washington license plate ABZ7996 on the rear and a red US Marine plate placard on the front. The vehicle was known to be driven by the suspects south from Everett, Washington to Oregon where it is believed to be abandoned.
Anyone with information to assist in the ongoing investigation or with information about the black 2010 Jeep Patriot is asked to call Oregon State Police Northern Command Center dispatch at 800-452-7888 or 9-1-1.
No other information will be released at this time related to the ongoing investigation.
