Four Arrested on Marijuana-Related Charges in Grants Pass

Four people, including three from the Grants Pass area, are facing marijuana-related charges following execution of a search warrant related to an investigation by detectives assigned to the Rogue Area Drug Enforcement (RADE) team. Detectives are continuing to process seized evidence including over 60 pounds of marijuana.
 

An Oregon State Police trooper's traffic stop on October 18, 2010 led RADE detectives to obtain a search warrant for 8484 Riverbanks Road northwest of Grants Pass. The search warrant was served Monday evening by RADE with the assistance of detectives from the Grants Pass Department of Public Safety, Drug Enforcement Administration, MADGE (Medford Area Drug and Gang Enforcement team), Josephine County Sheriff's Office, and Oregon State Police troopers and evidence technicians.
 
Four people were arrested and evidence seized included:
  • Fourteen large bags filled with over 60 pounds of processed marijuana
  • Forty-five (45) mature marijuana plants located at an outdoor grow site
  • One loaded handgun
 
Investigators reported it took four long bed pickups and one van to remove the seized marijuana and related evidence.

 
The following four people were cited to appear November 9, 2010 in Josephine County Circuit Court:
  • Resident MELVIN GREEN JR, age 47, cited for felony Unlawful Delivery of Marijuana
  • Resident KIMBERLY GREEN, age 41, cited for felony Unlawful Delivery of Marijuana
  • JASON BAILEY, age 21, from Grants Pass, cited for felony Unlawful Possession and Manufacture of Marijuana
  • ZACHARIAH WEATHERS, age 30, from Willow, California, cited for Unlawful Manufacture and Possession of Marijuana

The interagency narcotics RADE team is comprised of personnel from the Grants Pass Department of Public Safety, Oregon State Police, Josephine County Sheriff's Office, Josephine County District Attorney's Office, and the Josephine County Community Corrections.
