Fatal Pedestrian / Vehicle Crash - Highway 26 near Welches

Oregon State Police (OSP) troopers, with the assistance of Clackamas County Sheriff's Office, are continuing the investigation into a Thursday evening fatal pedestrian-involved fatal traffic crash on Highway 26 in the Welches area.
On November 4, 2010 at approximately 6:30 p.m. a 1991 Plymouth Sundance four-door driven by CRAIG P. DUNLAP, age 48, from Welches, was westbound in the right lane on Highway 26 just east of E. Gumjewac Lane near milepost 39 when it struck ROBERT JUNIOR DUEBER, age 80, from Welches, in the traffic lane. DUEBER was pronounced deceased at the scene. DUNLAP was using safety restraints and was not injured.
DUEBER resided in the 23000 block of E. Wildwood Avenue located north of Highway 26 near the crash scene. He was wearing dark clothing and the area is unlit.
OSP troopers from the Portland Area Command office are continuing the investigation. Hoodland Fire Department and ODOT are also assisting. Westbound lanes were closed about four hours.
