OSP ASKING FOR PUBLIC'S HELP IN LOCATING MOTORCYCLE RIDER WHO ELUDED TROOPER

 The Oregon State Police is asking for the public's help in locating or identifying a motorcycle rider who eluded a state trooper on I-5 in the Brownsville area yesterday. (11-9-11)
 
About 2:50 PM. an OSP trooper was northbound on I-5 near MP 220 when he saw a motorcycle being operated in a reckless manner. The motorcycle was paced at over 100 MPH and was cutting in and out of traffic using both lanes of the freeway. When the trooper tried to stop the motorcycle, the motorcycle rider accelerated to well over 120 MPH and was passing cars on the shoulder in an effort to get away. At one point in the pursuit, the motorcycle exceeded 140 MPH.
 
The motorcycle exited I-5 at Highway 34 and went eastbound. It then turned onto Seven Mile Lane. where the trooper discontinued the pursuit. The motorcycle was last seen going northbound on Seven Mile Lane.
 
The motorcycle is described as a black, sport bike type, with no license plate on it. The rider was described as wearing a black and gray leather jacket and a black and white helmet with a black, "Rooster Comb" style covering on the top of the helmet.
