An Oregon State Police (OSP) traffic stop Friday morning at approximately 9:30AM led to one Vancouver, Washington resident being charged with Possession/Delivery and Manufacture of a Controlled Substance-Crystal Methamphetamine and the seizure of approximately (10) pounds of High quality Crystal Methamphetamine on Interstate 5 north of Glendale, Oregon.
 
On November 18, 2011, at approximately 9:30AM, an OSP Trooper stopped a 2004 Toyota Solara, northbound on I-5 near milepost 86 for a traffic violation.. The lone occupant identified as; GUTIERREZ-MONTES, GREGORIO, age 22, from Vancouver, WA was charged with Possession, Delivery and Manufacture of a Controlled Substance-Crystal Methamphetamine. He was later lodged at the Douglas County Jail in Roseburg on the above listed charges, and the vehicle was seized.
 
GUTIERREZ-MONTES consented to a search of his vehicle, an OSP Drug Detection Canine assisted at the scene and alerted to the exterior and interior of the vehicle. A subsequent search of the vehicle was conducted and led to the discovery of approximately (10) pounds of high quality Crystal Methamphetamine, wrapped inside cellophane in individual (1) pound packages, located in a sophisticated after market compartment within the vehicle
 
The seized Crystal Methamphetamine has an estimated value of approximately $175,000.00.
