| OSP Traffic Stop leads to nearly 23 lbs. of Marijuana, One Arrest south of Roseburg |

An Oregon State Police (OSP) trooper's traffic stop Friday morning south of Roseburg led to the arrest of a Seattle, Washington man after the trooper found nearly 23 pounds of marijuana inside the vehicle. The OSP Drug Enforcement Section is continuing the investigation.
On November 19, 2010 at approximately 10:40 a.m. an OSP trooper stopped a 1998 Ford Explorer displaying Washington license plates for a traffic violation northbound on Interstate 5 near milepost 117. During the contact the driver was identified as PETER B. SASNETT, age 27, from Seattle, Washington.
Subsequent investigation with the assistance of an OSP drug detection canine led to the discovery of nearly 23 lbs. of marijuana inside the vehicle. Estimated value of the seized marijuana is $60,000.
SASNETT was arrested and lodged in the Douglas County Jail for Unlawful Possession and Unlawful Delivery of a Controlled Substance – Marijuana.
