Reward Offered to Solve Illegal Kill and Waste of Elk in Tillamook County

Oregon State Police (OSP) Fish and Wildlife Division is asking for the public's help to identify the suspect(s) responsible for the illegal killing of three elk, and the waste of two of them, in the Trask Unit near TillamookTwo rewards, one up to $1000 by the Oregon Hunter's Association and the second up to $2,500 by the Humane Society of the United States and The Humane Society Wildlife Land Trust, are offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction in this case.
 
On November 20, 2010 the OSP Tillamook office received information of three illegally killed elk found near the East Fork Bypass Road (Trask River). Senior Trooper Lalo Guerra responded to the complaint and found one elk skinned and gutted with most of the meat taken, a second elk whose head was removed and no meat taken, and a third elk that was untouched.
