OSP Traffic Stop Leads to Arrest of Three California Men on Marijuana Charges in Grants Pass Area

An Oregon State Police traffic stop Tuesday morning in the Grants Pass area led to the arrest of three California men following the discovery of approximately 10 pounds marijuana.
On December 9, 2008 at approximately 11:35 a.m. an OSP senior trooper stopped a Dodge pickup displaying California license plates on Highway 199 northbound near milepost 2 for a traffic violation. The vehicle contained three men and was traveling northbound toward Interstate 5.
Investigative efforts during the course of the traffic stop led to the discovery of 10 pounds of marijuana concealed within the vehicle. The seized marijuana has an estimated value of approximately $30,000.
The pickup's three occupants all from Happy Camp, California were arrested on drug-related charges. They are identified as:
* Passenger ARRON TROY HOCKADA, age 42
* Passenger WAYNE ANTHONY BLAKE, age 33
The three men were lodged in the Josephine County Jail for Unlawful Manufacture, Possession, and Distribution of a Controlled Substance -Marijuana.
