OSP Troopers Arrest Grand Ronde Woman Following Indictment Related to Nov. 18th Crash

A Grand Ronde woman was arrested by Oregon State Police (OSP) troopers Thursday afternoon following the issuance of an arrest warrant on multiple charges related to a November 18, 2009 traffic crash. The woman and her three children, ages 2, 3, and six months were rescued by two men from their overturned Ford Explorer after it was spotted overturned in Widow Creek near Rose Lodge.
According to OSP Senior Trooper Bryan Fitch, on December 17, 2009 at approximately 4:00 p.m. OSP troopers arrested AMBER LEE GANDY, age 26, after she was indicted by a Lincoln County Grand Jury on the following charges:
  • Assault in the Second Degree
  • Assault in the Third Degree (3 counts)
  • Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants
  • Reckless Driving
  • Recklessly Endangering Another Person (3 counts)
GANDY iwas being lodged in Lincoln County Jail.
Information previously released by the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office indicated GANDY was driving her vehicle when it traveled off Widow Creek Road into Widow Creek on November 18th.
