Public's Help Sought in Illegal Elk Killing Case in Tillamook County

The Oregon State Police (OSP) is asking for the public's help to develop information to solve a case involving the illegal killing of a spike bull elk about two weeks ago on Sand Lake Road near milepost 9 just south of Sand Lake in Tillamook County.
OSP Fish & Wildlife Division troopers from the Tillamook Office is investigating the unlawful taking and waste of a spike bull elk that occurred prior to December 16, 2008. Investigation revealed that the bull was shot and killed along Sand Lake Road and left to waste.
The Tillamook County Chapter of the Oregon Hunter's Association along with the Turn In Poacher program is offering up to a $1,000 dollar reward for information leading to the arrest of a suspect or suspects.
