Exciting news!!!! The Oregon State Police has opened up a Lateral Only recruitment. For those sworn officers in state and out of state, looking for a position in our agency, fill out and complete our agency NeoGov application by Wednesday, April 25, 2018. The NeoGov link is located below. You will also need to have your ORPAT scores and Personal History Questionnaire completed prior to April 25, 2018.

Oregon State Police recruits for positions when vacancies occur. If you are interested in joining our agency, but a position is not currently available, the best way to stay informed is by filling out a Job Interest Card​.  The Job Interest Card will allow you to indicate the types of positons you are seeking and you will receive a notification to the email address you provide, when a vacancy announcement is posted. The subscription will last for 12 months and you have the option to discontinue the service anytime or renew at the expiration date.​
The Oregon Physical Abilities Test (ORPAT) was designed to replicate critical and essential physical tasks and demands faced by police officers in the normal performance of their duties. Both specific tasks and overall physical demands are replicated in the ORPAT through the use of a carefully designed and validated, times “obstacle course.”
Oregon State Police will facilitate ORPAT Testing at the Oregon Public Safety Academy in Salem, Oregon.

Lateral Applicants applying for the April 2nd recruitment are urged to register to take the ORPAT through the Doodle Link provided below if you have not taken the ORPAT within 12 months.
Oregon State Police sponsored ORPAT test dates will also be advertised under "Trooper Testing Information" located on the left hand side of your screen. Click on "Trooper Testing Information" and scroll down to OSP ORPAT TESTING DATES AND TIMES.
The California Psychological Inventory / Pre-Psych Risk Assessment (CPI)Please make sure you have filled out, completed, and were informed that your NEOGOV application was approved, as well as, have passed and turned in your ORPAT scores a couple of days prior to taking the CPI.
Lateral Applicants applying, have a passing ORPAT time, will need to register for the CPI through the Doodle Link provided below.  If you have not taken the ORPAT and have scheduled to do so, you will take the CPI on the same day after you have passed your ORPAT.
