HB 2097
Extends split season leasing
Extends sunset through 2014 on split use leasing of in-stream water right under certain circumstances during same water or calendar year (ORS 537.348).  Effective January 1, 2008. 

HB 2098
Commission may extend irrigation season
Modifies ORS 537.385 to clarify that the Commission may extend irrigation seasons by rule rather than by order.  Effective January 1, 2008.                
HB 2099
Refund protest fee
Amends ORS 536.050 to refund all or a portion of the protest fee to water right holders who successfully rebut a claim of forfeiture under ORS 540.641.  Effective January 1, 2008

Amends exempt uses to provide for non-emergency fire fighting training.        

HB 2101
Adjusting fees
Adjusts certain statutorily established fees under ORS 536.050, 537.150(5), and 537.620(5), including certain water right permit and transfer application fees.  Effective July 1, 2007.                

HB 2785
Expedited Hydroelectric
Creates expedited process for holders of an existing water right certificate to obtain a hydroelectric certificate for generating hydropower when the existing water right is diverted (Chapter 657, 2007 Laws).  Effective January 1, 2008.

Wave energy projects
Exempts certain wave energy projects from certain provisions relating to hydroelectric projects (Chapter 212, 2007 Laws).  Effective May 30, 2007.

Groundwater registration modification fees
Approves specified fees adopted by the Commission related to requests for modifications to ground water registrations.  Effective July 1, 2007

Well constructors continuing education
Makes permanent statutory provisions for the well constructors continuing education program and Continuing Education Committee that sunset January 2, 2008.  Effective  January 1, 2008

Pilot project for irrigation district place of use changes
Continues through 2010 a pilot project for certain districts to make annual place of use changes to water rights within their district boundaries without making application for a temporary transfer.  Effective January 1, 2008
